At the audiology clinic, we are dedicated to providing our patients with top quality hearing health care. We focus on one very important goal: Improving the quality of life for people of all ages by enhancing their ability to live to their fullest potential. We evaluate our patients using the most advanced technology and provide them with the proper diagnosis, treatment options and referrals
How it all Began:
The Audiology clinic at Ahmadi hospital was established in July, 1996. Back then we had only one audiologist to serve all the oil sector employees and their dependents. By 1998, we were providing a range of clinical, diagnostic and rehabilitative services for patients of all ages. In 1998, we revised the Periodical Hearing Screening program, for employees exposed to noise at work site and prepared a bi-annual statistical report. The report consists of statistical findings, analysis and recommendation.
By 2003, we were providing more comprehensive objective tests like Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry and Otoacoustic Emission. A study was conducted at the hospital in 2006 to assess the hearing of children with suspected hearing loss and delayed speech. Following which we established normative data which lead us to start the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening program for all babies born at the hospital. We were among the first in the State of Kuwait and the entire Middle east to accomplish this. In 2009, we increased the manpower at the clinic to be able to serve more patients. At present the clinic has one Senior Audiologist /Speech therapist, two Audiologists/Speech therapists and two Assistant Audiologists.
As a commitment to fulfill our goals through continuous improvement of our services, the Dizzy Clinic equipped with the latest and state-of-the art technology, will soon be launched.
